We change a lot during the course of time like our choices, our clothing style, way of speaking but there is something which remains same within us and that is the core of us, the core that makes us human. There is a basic difference between Animal instinct and Human mindfulness which makes us different from other Animals. The first Chakra of Chakra system, Root Chakra is responsible for this difference between Human and other Animals.
Root Chakra gets its name from the Sanskrit word of ‘Mooladhar
Chakra’ which means base(Mool) and support(aadhar). The name is aptly given
according to the funtion of this Chakra which includes survival, grounding,
self support and stability. Root Chakra is the lowermost of Chakras and deals
with all the basics of life including money.
Kundalini
is also situated at Root Chakra. Kundalini is basically energy stored in our
body in coiled form and is considered very important for spiritual awakening. When
Kundalini awakes it travels upwards opening up other Chakras.
Blocked and imbalanced Root Chakra generates many
problems. We have often seen people becoming far too cruel to achieve what they
want. There is nothing as good or bad in their dictionaries just means to an
end whether it be survival or earning money. All this happens due to an
imbalance in Root Chakra. It is surprising to know what people can do when their
Chakras are imbalanced and sometimes it touches the realms of impossible. Too much
materialsm, excessive cruelty, lethargy
are all examples of overactive Root Chakra.
Root Chakra gets imbalanced by trauma, accident,
constant abuse etc. Constant abuse generates a sense of permenant fear within
the victim and this further weakens the Root Chakra which generates further
problems related to this Chakra.
